Vaisak Unnikrishnan

Vaisak Unnikrishnan serves as Legal Director at UAE Law Firm, where he plays a key role in overseeing the firm's legal functions and supporting its strategic direction. He works closely with the Partners and legal team to ensure the effective management of client matters, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and the identification and mitigation of potential legal risks.

With substantial experience in dispute resolution, Vaisak has handled a broad range of complex matters, including technical construction disputes, real estate conflicts, shareholder disputes, and commercial litigation. His practice spans several industries, with particular expertise in construction, real estate, and commercial disputes.

Vaisak is known for his analytical and practical approach to complex legal challenges. He regularly participates in expert meetings and advises clients on multifaceted legal and commercial issues, helping them assess risks, develop effective strategies, and protect their interests. His ability to approach challenging matters with innovative thinking enables him to provide commercially focused and effective legal solutions.

In addition to his client-facing work, Vaisak contributes to the firm's leadership and supports the wider legal team in developing strong client relationships, maintaining professional credibility, and delivering high-quality legal services. He has independently acted on, and assisted counsel in, numerous arbitration proceedings before the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) and ad hoc tribunals, including matters conducted under the UNCITRAL and DIAC Rules.

Vaisak has also undertaken advocacy training with the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts (DIFC) and the International Advocacy Training Council (IATC), further strengthening his dispute resolution and advocacy capabilities.
